"OK, you know when you’re reading some socially responsible magazine, and they tell you about some new initiative that helps women in business in developing countries or locally sustainable stuff or whatever? (Usually bracelets or baskets.) And then you check out their stuff and it’s either a.) ugly as s**t or b.) so expensive that it makes you wheeze? Yeah, Boutiko ain’t that. Gorgeous stuff and prices that are low enough that you won’t die, but high enough that the people making them are making a decent wage. Isn’t that nice?
The seriously cool thing is that they have a little legend for their products that shows if they’re recycled or local or organic or whatever.
AWESOME. I want the bags. And the aprons. And everything else. It’s entirely possible that I’m moving to England for the shopping."
